Holy Name Retreat at Rup Sanatan Tirtha/Bangladesh - April 2013

Upon my arrival in Dhaka on the 31st of March I immediately focussed on preparing things for our Holy Name Retreat at Rup Sanatan Tirtha near Jessore.

I had invited Tribanga Prabhu to join us for the event - as a disciple of HH Radhanath Swami and originally coming from Czech Republic, he is now living in Mayapur. I had met him there during the last couple of years, and I had discovered him to be leading melodious and prayerful kirtans.

Bangladesh - March 2013

I arrived in Dhaka on the 10th of March and took a domestic flight to Sylhet to visit the devotees for six days.
We have a nice ISKCON temple there - in the middle of the city, situated on a little hill, with gardens and big trees surrounding the temple buildings.

Mayapur - February 2013

I returned to Mayapur on the 19th of February to spend almost another three weeks in the Dham.
More devotees had arrived for the upcoming festivities and the GBC meetings. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to meet old friends from all around the world, and also establish new relationships and connections.
Every day we received devotees at my home for prasadam and discussions - either one on one, or in groups.
It is my favorite loving exchange - offering prasadam while hearing and speaking confidentially.
It builds trusting relationships and offers care and nourishment on all levels......

Bhakti Sangam Festival in Nepal - February 2013

We had decided to hold the Nepali Bhakti Sangam Festival this year at a new venue in the city of Bhirat Nagar - something we had never done before. Bhirat Nagar is on the South side of Nepal - South of the Himalaya Mountains and not far from the Indian border towards Siliguri.

A few days after our Holy Name Retreat at Ekachakra Dham we embarked on our three-weeks' course "Exploring The Roots Of Spiritual Culture" for ladies.

Quite a few matajis who had been participating in the retreat decided to attend the course. They had received some nourishment and inspiration and were open and eager for more......

On the 25th of December I arrived in Mayapur and met my two assistants coming from Ukraine - Bhaktin Julia and Vicka, who would stay with me for the next two and half months.

We settled into my nice ashram at the Mayapur Goshala and immediately started to prepare for our first Vaisnavi Holy Name Retreat at Ekachakra Dham, which was sceduled for the 5th to the 9th of January.

I had been advertising it by sending out posters to many temples, and also hanging them up around Vrindavan and Mayapur. Some ladies had already registered, and now we wanted to get more people on board to make it all
worth while.

Prabhupada marathon in Chittagong - December 2012

The 1st of December is my birthday and always marks the beginning of the Prabhupada Marathon.

This time I was intending to spend almost the entire month in Chittagong - a lively yatra with around 70 brahmacaris which has meanwhile become temple number one in Bangladesh.
The annual tradition is that I feed all the temple devotees with a special breakfast on the morning of the 1st of December, thus marking the beginning of the Book Marathon.
What a wonderful way to serve and enthuse all the devotees.....
And for the first time I was introducing this tradition here in Chittagong.

Prabhupada's disappearance festival in Dhaka - November 2012

Our Ukrainian team traveling around Bangladesh returned to Dhaka on the 16th of November - just in time for Srila Prabhupada's disappearance day celebration.

Swamibag temple area had been converted into a huge Pandal tent.
HH Jayapataka Swami was there, and devotees had come from all around Bangladesh to get his association. As in previous years he initiated around two thousand devotees - something which requires quite some coordination and organisation.....

Touring Bangladesh - November 2012

On the 4th of November after concluding the Holy Name Retreat at Pundarik Dhama we embarked on our tour around Bangladesh.

Our team of four Ukrainian brahmacaris (Vishoka, Gurupriya, Namacarya and Parama Karuna Prabhus), Sahasrajit Prabhu with his son Visvambhara, and a few local brahmacaris and myself squeezed into one of our Sankirtan vans....
