Almviks Gard
Almviks Gård is a peaceful village on the banks of the Ogan lake, surrounded by beautiful forests and fields. It is situated approximately 60 km South-West of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
With it's beautiful nature, cows, fields and forests it offers an abundance of resources, which can be wonderfully used for economic development aswell as for preaching.
This ISKCON farm was established in 1982 and is now the home of around 30 adults and 30 children and youth. Over the past years Almvik and its residents have experienced many up's and down's - large and joyful festivals, installing Panca Tattva, producing books during the pioneer days of the preaching in the former Soviet Union, book distribution, farming, a gurukula just to name a few. Nowadays it is a steady village community with serious and mature devotees who are eager to take responsibility and set an example of simple village life in Krsna consciousness.
The center of the Almviks Gård community is the New Caitanya Candrodaya Mandir with Their Lordships Sri Sri Pancha Tattva. The main focus is on cow protection, a day care school, organic farming, foresting, and reaching out to give Krsna consciousness to others by conducting retreats and seminars on various topics.

How to get there?
Unless devotees come with their own car to Stockholm, they usually arrive either by plane or by ferry.
Please use the public transport from the airport or harbor. Public transport in Sweden is well organised and relatively cheap. The closest town to Almviks Gård which can be reached by public transport is Järna. The distance from Järna to Almviks Gård is around 8 km, and we will be happy to pick you up from there by car.

from Värtahamnen Harbour - 350 sek
from Arlanda airport - 450 sek
from Bromma airport - 300 sek
from Skavsta airport - 350 sek
from Södertälje Syd Train Station - 100 sek
from Järna - 50 sek

There are three airports for Stockholm:
- Skavsta
- Arlanda
- Bromma
1) Skavsta Airport
Skavsta airport is closest to Almvik, and it is also the airport which Ryanair is using. So this is in all regards the most convenient way to travel to Almvik - to book a Ryanair flight. There is public transport from Skavsta to Järna.
2) Arlanda Airport
Arlanda Airport is the biggest airport in Sweden and also the furthest away from Almvik. One can take a train from Arlanda to Järna
3) Bromma Airport
You can find the timeschedules here.
When you exit the Bromma airpot building turn to the right and look for the red buss 152 towards (mot) Liljeholmen. Ask the bus driver to stamp the ticket with 16 units until Järna (then you do not need to do anything else during your journey since this coupong is valid in busses as well as in local trains).
NB! There are also "Flygbusserna" going from Bromma to Stockholm, but with this option you have to pay additional 80 SEK since they are linked to a different transportation network.
